American Corgi

American Corgis are smart and energetic so needs daily mental and physical stimulation. Give them puzzles, training, and daily walks or runs. Make sure they have enough space.

American Corgis have a double coat so need consistent brushing to reduce shedding.

Be sure to provide early socialization and training.

What is an American Corgi? American Corgis are a cross between a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. They tend to have short legs and a long body.

The American Corgi is a cross between a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a Cardigan Welsh Corgi.  They typically weigh 25 – 40 pounds and have a life expectancy of 10 – 13 years.  While the American Corgi is generally healthy, they can be prone to some disease conditions.  Always contact your veterinarian as soon as you notice any physical or behavioral changes.
