Bichonpoo

The Bichon Frise is often bred to either the Toy or Miniature variety of Poodle. It is very unlikely that a Bichonpoo will have a Standard Poodle parent.

Both the Bichon Frise and the Poodle are known for their allergy-friendly coats and you can expect the same attributed with this designer.

How big does a Bichonpoo get? These dogs tend to weigh between 6 and 15 pounds.

Do Bichon poos bark a lot? While the Bichon is not an overly vocal breed, the Poodle on the other hand is. The combination of these 2 breeds gives you about a 50/50 chance of how much barking you can expect.

Are Bichonpoos hypoallergenic?No dogs are completely hypoallergenic, but Bichonpoos are crossed with two breeds that tend not to shed (Poodles and Bichon Frise) and as such as allergy-friendly. They also produce very little dander which makes them even more allergy friendly.

The charming Bichonpoo is a cross of the cheery Bichon Frise and the clever Poodle. As with any designer they are often considered healthier compared to their purebred counterparts and have an estimated life expectancy of 12-15 years. However, they can still inherit the same health conditions as their parent breeds. Most Bichonpoos will never be diagnosed with these health issues and often live long and happy lives but it is important to contact your vet should you notice any physical or behavioral changes in your dog.
